What You Will Do
Operating in a Senior Research Analyst role, the successful candidate will serve as the main point of contact for Insights’ clients across the utility and connected DER industry. They will also be primarily responsible for building and maintaining a portfolio of research and analysis aligned with clients’ needs. This role aligns to the Managing Consultant level and will play a lead role in growing Guidehouse Insights’ utility and DER industry profile as well as acting as a primary research point of contact for US utility key account teams.

The successful candidate will bring utility and technology specific expertise and a general understanding of the impacts of emerging technologies, services, and competitive threats as well as relevant policy and regulatory issues facing the industry. This is a high visibility role and the successful candidate will be expected to speak confidently and intelligently about industry trends and challenges, including decarbonization, decentralization, and digitalization transitions.

Acting as the primary point of contact for clients and developing excellent client relationships, this role will actively participate in proactive business development initiatives, manage inbound client requests, and coordinate responses across a matrixed team organization. The candidate should demonstrate the flexibility to pivot and respond quickly to a dynamic and evolving company culture and broader energy transition landscape.
