SEDC Publishes Demand Response Action Plan for Europe

The Smart Energy Demand Coalition (SEDC) has published a paper titled "A Demand Response Action Plan For Europe – Regulatory requirements and market models.”  The purpose of the paper is to provide an overarching guide for market participants and policy makers as they gradually re-design the electricity market regulation in a way that accounts for the requirements of enabling Demand Response and other flexibility resources.  To download and view the paper, visit www.smarten.eu/2013/09/09/action-plan/  

The Smart Energy Demand Coalition (SEDC) is an industry group, which represents the requirements of programs involving smart energy demand in order to further the development of the Smart Grid and ensure improved end-consumer benefits.The SEDC vision is to promote the active participation by the demand side in European electricity markets – ensure consumer benefits, increase security of supply and reduce carbon emissions.
