Wayne Greenberg, CEO of E Source, Announces Retirement; Ted Schultz to Fill PostE Source


Ted Schultz has been appointed CEO of E Source, effective August 1, 2021. He will succeed Wayne Greenberg, who is retiring. Greenberg and E Source leadership are confident that Schultz will use his vast experience in the utility industry to drive E Source's mission of building a sustainable future in partnership with utilities and cities. After the transition, Greenberg will remain with E Source as vice chairman of the board.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Develop, manage, and evaluate key projects/programs/initiatives from planning to post implementation phases as required. Develop business plans, project charters, and performance metrics in support of business objectives. Ensure organizational alignment with management models and principles and drive the integration of best practices. Perform various assignments including requests for financial and operational reports, data analysis and modeling, business planning, and/or performance measurement. Coordinate quality assurance and/or change management activities with internal and external personnel. Platte River Power Authority RFP for the Efficiency Works Residential Energy Advisor

Proposals for the Efficiency Works Residential Energy Advisor, Specification Number HQ21-1834 (“Project”) will be received by Platte River Power Authority, hereinafter called Platte River, electronically at [email protected], until 3:00 p.m., MST, Thursday, August 19, 2021 (Proposal Submission Deadline).

Platte River and its owner municipalities of Estes Park Light & Power, Fort Collins Utilities, Longmont Power & Communications, and Loveland Water and Power, seeks a consultant to provide energy advising services to support the assessment and retrofit program.

Proposals will be considered only from those Bidders who have submitted their qualifications, in accordance with Platte River prequalification form requirements, and have been approved on the basis of their submitted qualifications prior to issuance of the Bid Specifications and Documents. Prequalification forms are available from Platte River and can be obtained from Platte River's website at https://www.prpa.org/financial-information/contract-administration/. Completed Prequalification forms must be received by Platte River electronically at [email protected], no later than 11:00 a.m., MST, Thursday, July 8, 2021.

The Bid Specification and Documents will be ready on or about Friday, July 23, 2021. Platte River will disseminate these materials to pre-qualified Bidders. It is the responsibility of each pre-qualified Bidder to ensure that they have received the Bid materials. In order to be considered as a potential provider for these Services, a pre-qualified Bidder must submit one electronic copy of its Proposal to [email protected]. It is the Bidder’s responsibility to ensure that its electronic Proposal is received.

In order to have its Proposal considered, pre-qualified Bidders are required to participate in a virtual pre-proposal meeting to be held at 10:00 a.m., MST, Thursday, July 29, 2021. These pre-bid meetings are designed to improve the pre-qualified Bidder’s understanding of the Project scope and answer questions relating to the Project. All Bidders are encouraged to submit questions relating to the project by 3:00 p.m., MST, Thursday, August 5, 2021, to [email protected]. Responses to questions received will be sent electronically to all Bidders on or about, Thursday, August 12, 2021. The Proposal and Agreement shall be conditioned upon compliance with all provisions of the Proposal documents. No Proposal may be altered, withdrawn or resubmitted within ninety (90) working days after the date set for the opening of Proposals.

Platte River will evaluate Proposals. Upon such initial evaluation, Platte River will invite a short list of bidders for interviews to demonstrate their unique qualifications and the functionality of any systems they intend to use in order to provide technical services to Platte River. The interviews will be held the week of September 6, 2021.

Platte River reserves the right, in its sole judgement, to accept the Proposal(s) that is the lowest, most responsive, and responsible; to reject any and all Proposals, and to accept or reject any irregularities and informalities in any Proposal(s) that is submitted. Proposals received after the Proposal Submission Deadline will be returned unread.

The National Rural Utilities Cooperative Finance Corporation, or CFC, seeks a Senior Rate & Business Consultant in the CRG - Regulatory Affairs group. Our organization is a member-driven leader with a fast-paced, challenging, and collaborative environment with the shared mission of supporting America’s network of rural electric cooperatives.

In this position you will provide electric utility rate-making, policy, and advisory consulting services to CFC members. This specialized team provides CFC members with expertise in areas surrounding the general regulatory and rate-making process, specific to certain technical requirements applicable to state commission and/or Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) requirements. This position is an opportunity to work within the utility industry to address and affect pricing theory, leverage AMI smart meter data, and apply advanced data analytics. As a Senior Rate & Business Consultant, you will:

  • Assist and provide guidance to electric cooperative management and board-of-directors on contemporary retail rate strategies and options.
  • Conduct revenue requirements and cost of service studies used in the development of traditional rate design, as well as specialty rates to include residential demand, electric vehicle (EV), time-of-use, interruptible, distributed generation, and demand side management for CFC members.
  • Analyze and assess industry trends, events and federal and state regulatory activities to determine the impact on CFC and its members.
  • Prepare competent expert testimony to advocate for the members’ and/or CFC’s positions in regulated proceedings.
  • Develop and present educational programs on technical issues to effectively and clearly transfer knowledge and skills to diverse constituents, both internal and external stakeholders.

Department Summary
The Flexible Load Product Management Team is responsible for the design and evolution of PGE’s flexible load pilots and programs to ensure that PGE meets the goals of the Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) as well as its growing need to create flexible capacity to support decarbonization goals. The FLP Team works cross-functionally to develop PGE’s Flexible Load Program Roadmap in service to our business and regulatory requirements.

Position Summary
The Peak Time Rebate (PTR) Program Manager will manage PGE's residential behavioral demand response program with the largest number of participants. This program plays a key role in PGE's flexible load plan to increase our ability to use renewable energy, preserve reliability and ensure energy affordability for our customers. The Program Manager role will ensure the on-going success of the Peak Time Rebate program by continuing to develop the program strategy, partnering closely with marketing to recruit and engage customers, and by managing vendor performance. Successful applicants will bring deep program and product management, customer engagement and regulatory experience as well as passion for being a part of the team shaping the future of PGE.
