What is the role?
The Sales and Marketing Director is responsible for implementing the growth strategy and leading the business development function of the company, which includes sales, marketing, proposals, and product development. The Director of Sales and Marketing serves on the leadership team, collaborates with other company leaders to grow the firm, and reports to the COO. We are looking for a leader who will exemplify and instill our company values. Primary Responsibilities

  • Company Growth Strategy Development
    • Collaborates with CEO and VP of Operations to develop strategies to grow the firm
    • Provides guidance to identify new client targets and new strategic partnerships
    • Monitors and assesses intel on the industry and our competitors
    • Sets direction for new product development in conjunction with the CEO and works with Product Development Manager and the product delivery team during new offering launch
  • Department Leadership
    • Directs sales, marketing, client and partner engagement, proposal, and product development activities to ensure alignment with growth strategy and corporate values
    • Establishes processes and procedures for the Sales and Marketing department
    • Establishes performance goals and metrics for the Sales and Marketing department and each staff member ensuring alignment with the company goals and objectives
    • Reports Sales and Marketing department key metrics to the leadership team
    • Establishes and manages Sales and Marketing department budget
  • Staff Management
    • Ensures on-time, on-budget, quality deliverables
    • Performs regular (weekly or monthly) one-on-one meetings with staff
    • Works with staff to create a career development plan
    • Mentors and supports staff to help them achieve goals in their career development plan
    • Ensures staff has resources needed to be successful
    • Recommends compensation levels and bill rates for staff
    • Leads job candidate interviews and makes candidate selections
    • Consistently applies all company policies to staff
    • Develops and manages department budgets
