Hawaiian Electric Company
Demand Response Services and Technology Providers
Request for Information (RFI#110114-01)

The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to identify potential sources of services that can enable and support the Demand Response (DR) initiatives of the Companies. The Companies intend to utilize the responses to this RFI to prepare one or more procurement processes, currently contemplated for Q1 2015. DR Programs solicited through such an RFP will become operational in January 2016, or sooner if possible.

However, this RFI does not commit the Companies to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP), nor does it commit the Companies to contract for any products or services. The Companies discourage unsolicited proposal in advance of a formal RFP. Vendors who choose to send the Companies unsolicited proposals are advised that they do so at their own risk and the Companies are under no obligation to consider such unsolicited proposals. Unsolicited proposals may, at the sole discretion of the Companies, be returned, or evaluated against the specific criteria of a future competitive bidding process.
