Skipping Stone Partner Appointed to Department of Commerce Committee

Atlanta, GA – November 11, 2014 – Skipping Stone announced today the appointment of Partner Ross Malme to the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Advisory Committee to the US Secretary of Commerce as a representative from Skipping Stone and of smart grid consulting companies in the U.S. renewable energy and energy efficiency sector.

The Committee will be developing actionable recommendations to improve the export competitiveness of these important sectors. Committee members will provide consensus advice on the development and administration of programs and policies to expand U.S. renewable energy and energy efficiency exports.

The US Department of Commerce commended Mr. Malme for his willingness to devote time and energy to this Committee, stating that his participation will strengthen the Committee’s efforts under the ongoing Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Export Initiative, as well as the National Export Initiative (NEI)/NEXT.

“I am honored to accept this appointment to the Advisory Committee to the US Secretary of Commerce,” says Ross Malme. “The US Commerce Department has been providing world leadership in the deployment of US Smart Grid Technologies to countries in the developing world. Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Advisory Committee
In support of U.S. renewable energy and energy efficiency manufacturers and services providers, the U.S. Department of Commerce has re-established the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Advisory Committee (RE&EEAC). The RE&EEAC will advise the Secretary regarding the development and administration of programs and policies to expand the competitiveness of U.S. exports of renewable energy and energy efficiency goods and services.
