ACTION ITEMS
1. Consider submitting a session for the 38th PLMA Conference set for Nov. 12-14 in Austin, Texas.  Call for Presenters is now underway until June 5 at www.peakload.org/38th-conference-call-for-presenters.

Member Pipeline - current member count is 140 organizations

New Leadership.  Andrea Simmonsen, Idaho Power has been appointed to the Executive Committee to replace Steve Koep who is no longer with a member organization.  Matt Carlson, Aquanta is now the 3rd co-chair of the DER Integration Group, and Laurie Duhan, BGE is now the 3rd co-chair of the Awards Planning Group.

37th Conference, Coronado.  The presentation slides links and photo gallery are now online at www.peakload.org/37th-Conf-Resources and accessible to all PLMA members behind your profile password whether or not you attended the conference.  Final headcount was 275 people which was 20% more than last spring's conference in Nashville.  A key Lessons Learned is that the Interest Group meetings have become an integral part of the Conference and are most effective when they have structured discussion different in format from the conference sessions.

38th Conference, Austin.  Attendee and sponsor registration is now open at www.peakload.org/38th-plma-conference  New this time is that conference registrants may attend the Interest Group meetings on Monday at no additional cost.   

Training Partner RFI Underway Through June 8.  Staff has launched a "Training Partner Request for Interest" to seek to enhance the current course content.  Details are at www.peakload.org/RFITraining with a response deadline of June 8.

DR Training Series Set for Oct. 8-12 in Phoenix. Registration is now open for the "Demand Response Markets" and "DR Program Design and Implementation" courses to be presented back-to-back on Oct. 8-12 in APS offices co-hosted by SRP.  Anyone may register for either or both classes.  Advisory and Sustaining-level members may use their passes to attend the courses at no additional cost.       

E4theFuture NWA Study.  Project nominations closed May 15 and Peer Review Group members have  begun to score to select 10 case studies to become the basis for a joint research report with SEPA.  Details at www.peakload.org/nwa-peer-review.

Speaker Bureau Placements.  PLMA representatives are speaking in June in Portland, Oregon; Seattle, Washington; and Bogota, Columbia. 1. View announcement of PLMA and SEPA joint Non-Wires Alternatives research project funded by E4TheFuture at Non-Wires Alternatives Survey.  NWA subject matter experts are invited to be part of our joint Peer Review Group to identify 10 NWA project case studies for research report.  

2. View PLMA's 2017 Annual Activity Report to Members at  PLMA 2017 Annual Report compress 032718.pdf.  This brochure will be available in printed form in Coronado to share with others.

37th Conference, Coronado. Newly-formed International Interest Group will have its first in-person meeting on Monday morning.  Updated Monday agendas for interest group activities are now online along with the schedule and volunteer trainers for the Demand Response Evolution course to be presented concurrently at 37th Conference Agenda, Coronado, CA.  Members and sponsors using a pass may attend at no extra charge but you must register.

Speakers Bureau.  DR Evolution will be a session topic at AEE West Coast Energy Management Conference in Seattle, and staff is working with American Solar Energy Society for a DER Integration panel at their National Solar Conference in Boulder. Details below. International Interest Group Formation.  Any PLMA Board Member or At-Large Representative, or a designate, are welcome to attend a webcall to explore formation of a PLMA International Interest Group on Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 12:30 p.m. Eastern.  To register, go to attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/1291951839558044929 .  If you can't make that date/time, register anyway to demonstrate your interest and receive the meeting recording.  Scott Coe of GridOptimize and Ross Malme of Skipping Stone have expressed interest in being Group Co-chairs.  An outcome of this Feb. 13 discussion could be an in-person meeting in Coronado in April to explore development of services to benefit utilities around the world, such as international workshops, sister utilities exchanges, and on-line collaboration tools.

Speakers Bureau.  PLMA helps place presenters as PLMA representatives for special topics, details at www.peakload.org/speakers-bureau.  On February 21, Jason Cigarran, Itron, will be presenting on the Dynamic Pricing session @ AESP Conference in New Orleans  and Rich Barone, Hawaiian Electric will represent PLMA on the DER session at Parks Assoc Smart Energy Summit in Austin.  Parks Assoc. has also provided a $500 discount for PLMA members planning to attend that event, details in the calendar link.

Website Transition. Staff moved to new association management system in Dec/Jan which resulted is adjustments in website navigation and email management as well as the need for all to reset member log-in passwords.

Mark Kerbel, Encycle.  PLMA donated $100 to UCSD Cancer Center in his memory.
