PLMA Forms International Interest Group

Voice of Demand Response Practitioners Seeks to Enhance Connections
Among Current and Prospective Members Worldwide

PLMA has formed the PLMA International Interest Group, co-chaired by Scott Coe of GridOptimize and Ross Malme of Skipping Stone, to pursue international member-focused activities to develop new activities for PLMA member organizations from outside of North America and to connect current PLMA members with international energy companies and technology providers. This initiative is consistent with PLMA’s goal to enhance its community of experts and practitioners dedicated to sharing knowledge and providing resources to promote inclusiveness in the design, delivery, technology, and management of solutions addressing energy and natural resource integration.

The group will conduct its first in-person meeting on April 16 before the 37th PLMA Conference in Coronado, California. The agenda will focus on developing services to benefit utilities and industry allies around the world, such as international workshops, like-minded association exchanges, and on-line collaboration tools. During the meeting, attendees will have the opportunity to discuss the advantages and challenges of the different proposals for implementation, including those items introduced in an initial phone conversation of PLMA member organization staff. Anyone, PLMA member or not, may register to participate in the April 16 meeting discussion.
