As California’s second community choice aggregator or “CCA,” SCP is a community-owned electricity provider for Sonoma and Mendocino counties. Summary Description
The Legislative Policy Manager works closely with Sonoma Clean Power’s CEO to educate and advocate for clean power, energy affordability, grid reliability, and to protect the rights of community-owned power providers to operate. This role has two key functions: policy advocacy in Sacramento, and public engagement for SCP’s special clean power initiatives, like building 600 MW of new local geothermal power.

The policy advocacy role involves participation in the statewide California Community Choice Association (CalCCA) meetings and events, analysis of proposed legislation, briefing the CEO and staff, drafting reports, meetings with lawmakers and their staff and managing SCP’s lobbyist.

The special initiatives role involves educating our local community on SCP’s GeoZone projects, supporting public outreach and events, attending and representing SCP at industry conferences, developing relationships with federal agency staff and lawmakers as appropriate, supporting SCP’s private partners (e.g., with content for grant applications), and more. What is the role?
Michaels Energy is seeking an Associate Director of Marketing with experience in the energy efficiency industry. This position is responsible for developing and implementing corporate brand strategies and marketing plans to support the growth of the company. The Associate Director of Marketing leads a small marketing team to support B2B corporate consulting sales and marketing efforts on behalf of contracted utility companies. The Position and the Team You Will Work With

We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager who will be responsible for implementing Bidgely’s innovative energy management service to our largest and most complex utility customers in North America. As a key member of the team, you will be utilizing your outstanding project management, technical, and customer engagement skills to deliver the solution on time and on budget to the customer.

What You Will Do 

Project Management

• Acquire a deep understanding of the energy market and how Bidgely can play a disruptive role in creating a more energy-efficient future

• Understand Bidgely products in order to influence product development plans and schedules

• Be the face of Bidgely for the customer during the implementation phase, owning the relationship, and being an advocate for them internally

• Manage new customer implementations end to end from Onboarding to Launch utilizing Project Management best practices such as standing project meetings, engineering standups, gantt charts, status reports, decision logs, change requests, governance committees, cost tracking, etc.

• Interact cross-functionally with Delivery/Product Engineering, Product Support, Strategy & Growth, Sales, and more in support of the customer

• Contribute to contract reviews for new deals and change orders.

• Travel to customer sites 10% of the time and trips 2-3x annually to Bidgely HQ in Los Altos, CA

• Represent the Onboarding Team in sales presentations as needed.

Technology

• Own the overall solution design & development for utility customers and work with our global engineering team. This includes requirement analysis, customer journey scope discussion, data integration, design, solution architecture, implementation, delivery, customer facing technical issue resolution and discussion.

• Be a product expert at Bidgely by collaborating with utility customers to understand requirements, mapping requirements to product features, performing product gap analysis and finalizing the product customizations and changes. 

• Manage project deliverables, and ensure quality on on-time delivery, and ensure quality through a hands-on approach.

• Produce technical and product documents that clearly define the customer requirements and solution design in collaboration with the customer IT and engineering development teams
