39th PLMA Conference, Minneapolis. A new Conference Policy has been shared with all conference sponsors, incorporated into the Code of Conduct Handbook posted at www.peakload.org/policies, and referenced online at www.peakload.org/39th-conference-attend to communicate "free times" for scheduling adjacent activities.
Award Program. For the first time, PLMA is announcing the winners ahead of the conference. Learn more about the eight winning initiatives at www.peakload.org/awards.
Training. For the DR Fundamentals and Evolution course in Minneapolis, staff has recruited volunteer instructors. Enerdynamics reports an uptick in online course sales recently as the online training is being cross-promoted as preparation for the in-person courses. Details at www.peakload.org/demand-response-training. The Demand Response Training sereis was completed in Baltimore was completed with 34 Students and 4 mentors in attendance during the week. Future of DER Compendium. A pre-publication version of the document has been reviewed by all authors and peer reviewers and is in production. Staff will publish the Compendium to the general public the week of April 22 with the announcement of a 30-minute webcast to introduce the document on Thursday, May 2 at 12:30pm Eastern. The webcast will be, in effect, an online preview of the opening panel at the 39th PLMA Conference in Minneapolis.

Training. BGE will host the DR Market Fundamentals and DR Program Design/Implementation courses on April 8-12, 2019 in their Baltimore offices. All registrants are encouraged to take the new online Demand Response Fundamentals course in advance. Congratulations to George Beatty of Xcel Energy and Erin Elmiger of Threshold who each won a gift certificate to PLMA's Lands End store for completing the online course by year-end. 39th PLMA Conference, Minneapolis. Patrik Ronnings of Xcel Energy and Jeff Haase of Great River Energy are the Conference Planning Group Co-chairs. Over 60 session abstracts were received and scoring is now underway by over 60 volunteers. The agenda will be announced online by February 11. DistribuTECH Collaboration. PLMA will host another Member Breakfast Meetup at the legendary Mother's Restaurant on Tuesday, Feb. 5 from 8-9am just before the opening general session. Staff is planning to complete by end of January the 2018 Annual Member Activity Report in a style similar to last year and a Thought Leadership 2018 Compendium with transcripts of 8 webcasts and conference sessions from 2018. Over 20 submissions were received for the Future of DER Compendium and peer review is now underway with volunteers from the DER Integration and Thought Leadership groups.
