Designing Effective EV Managed Charging Programs

DATE / TIME: Thursday, October 28, 2:00 to 3:00 pm ET

Hosted by the Electric Transportation Interest Group

Managing the peak load impacts of EVs is crucial to maximizing the cost effectiveness of electrification. Utilities can play an active role in managing local and system-wide peak load impacts of EVs by developing and deploying managed charging programs.

Salt River Project (SRP) and Brattle Group will present the framework and key takeaways from their recent experience analyzing the potential system-level cost savings, the incentives necessary to attract customers, and the potential scale of the peak load reductions as EVs enter the market.

About the Electric Transportation Interest Group

The PLMA Electric Transportation Interest Group will address the growing popularity of electric transportation across the U.S. and beyond, and its impacts on demand response, grid reliability, and beneficial electrification. Attendees can expect to develop a deeper understanding of ET trends, share best practices, and learn more about how utilities and vendors can work together to advance this important new opportunity. PLMA member practitioners will gain knowledge from industry experts as they discuss electric transportation, plus the infrastructure and data needs of light-duty, heavy-duty, and electric fleets.
