Tetra Tech Seeks Quantitative Analyst

Tetra Tech is seeking Quantitative Analysts to join our Madison, Wisconsin office. Ideal candidates will have proven expertise across a range of quantitative methodologies, a passion for working with data, and exceptional communication skills. Analysts will work with a variety of data sets, in different structures to conduct analysis and modelling, fit for purpose. Salary is commensurate with skills and relevant work experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with project teams and sector subject matter experts to develop project requirements 
  • Collecting large sets of structured and unstructured data from disparate sources 
  • Cleaning and validating the data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and uniformity
  • Efficiently storing and retrieving data
  • Performing statistical analysis and coding tasks
  • Ability to develop analytical plans for data modeling, identify strong baselines, and interpret relationships
  • Analyzing and interpreting data to identify patterns and address research questions
  • Documenting project work for transparency and replicability
  • Demonstrated experience communicating analysis findings orally and in writing to both internal project teams and external clients
  • Using data visualization tools to present data in insightful ways
Qualifications 
  • M.S. or Ph.D. in statistics, social science, mathematics, computer science or related field. (B.S. plus four or more years of equivalent work experience can be substituted for advanced degree.)
  • Experience storing, retrieving, and manipulating large, complex datasets.
  • Statistical programming proficiency.
  • Experience across a range of quantitative applications (e.g., predictive analytics, risk analysis, consumer insights).
