1. Register for 40th PLMA Conference.  Make plans now to attend the fall conference from November 4-6 at Vinoy Renaissance in St. Petersburg, Florida. Registration details and a look at the 250 practitioners who have already registered is at www.peakload.org/40th-conference-attend.  Our guest room block of preferred rates has sold out, but registrations are still being accepted online and the Vinoy still has guest rooms to reserve at their regular rates.

Interest Group Activity.  The Women in Demand Management Group is conducting an online survey of all PLMA members and will share the results at an online group discussion on October 23.  The Customer Engagement Group will conduct an online group discussion on "Using Marketplaces to Drive Demand Response Adoption and Participation" on October 31.  The Global Load Management Group will present an online simulcast of its Nov. 4 group activity to encourage more international participation.  Details for all these activities are at www.peakload.org/calendar.

Thought Leadership Group Activity.  Energy Central interviewed Thought Leadership co-chairs, Rich Philip and Jenny Roehm, and Customer Engagement Group Co-Chair Andrea Simmonsen. Brian Doyle and Jenny Roehm represented PLMA in a Future of DER panel at ACEEE Energy Efficiency as a Resource Conference in Minneapolis on Oct. 16.  A South African group has requested an online presentation for Oct. 23 which will be conducted by one or more of the Global Load Management Group Cochairs.
