The Commission issued its 2018 Staff Assessment of Demand Response and Advanced Metering based on publicly available information from a variety of sources, as well as discussions with market participants and industry experts. This report is the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission staff’s (Commission staff’s) thirteenth annual report on demand response and advanced metering required by section 1252(e)(3) of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (EPAct 2005). The information presented in the report is based on publicly-available data and discussions with industry experts.
