Job Summary
Provide program management oversight over scope, schedule and budget of energy efficiency projects in compliance with the BPU Order and PSEG procedures. Ensure projects meet all program requirements, including project scope and cost effectiveness. Work as an Energy Efficiency specialist in the Renewables and Energy Efficiency organization, utilizing a broad knowledge of business and energy engineering principles and practices acquired through progressive field and academic experience. Job is to provide support for energy efficiency and demand response programs, with a primary focus on the managing activities related to the participation of demand response resources in the PJM Interconnection capacity market. This includes the technical evaluation of resources to offer in the market, the estimation of resource quantities, and direct interaction with PJM and its platforms to ensure all rules and processes are followed. The position will require close collaboration with all program teams to ensure PJM rules and processes are followed.  Position will also be responsible for active participation on PJM committees and other work groups related to Demand Response, Virtual Power Plants (VPP) and other related activities.

  • Develop and maintain the processes for implementing energy efficiency projects and programs in accordance with requirements for BPU approved programs.
  • Interface with PSEG associates, vendors, customers and outside consultants to assure the Program rules and requirements are maintained, the projects are cost effective and the information needed for management and regulatory reporting is accurate and timely.
  • Perform and oversee program and project QA/QC as required; Apply knowledge in energy savings measures and techniques to program and project oversight
  • Manage customer relationships to provide program services with a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate and direct the activities of vendors and contractors.  Review vendor deliverables.  Monitor vendor performance, and review/process vendor invoices. 
  • Ensure vendor and employee compliance with safety protocols and practices.
  • Compile and analyze data from various projects / sources to monitor the status of customer projects and report to management
  • Analyze performance results for management reports; Provide monthly project status forecasts
  • Assist with special projects and ad hoc requests as necessary.
  • During storm restoration efforts, may be required to perform functions outside of routine duties and on a schedule that may be different from normal operations.
