Call for Self-Nominations for PLMA Officer Positions Ends September 2
Self-nominations from PLMA Board members are now being accepted for all Officer positions for Fall 2021 - Fall 2023 term. All current officers' terms expire at the conclusion of the 44th PLMA Conference. There are four (4) PLMA Officer positions: Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer and Secretary (see roster at www.peakload.org/plma-leadership). Officers must remain an employee of a PLMA member organization for the length of their term, and are expected to participate in a majority of the monthly calls and other in-person meetings. There is no compensation or travel reimbursement from PLMA.

The form requests that you include a brief statement of your qualifications, your goals for the organization, and initiatives that you want to champion. Self-nominations will be accepted through Thursday, September 2, 2021. You must be signed in to access the form. Job Description. PLMA looks to the Officers to provide strategic leadership and vision to assist the Executive Director with tactical support in the operation of the Association consistent with the Executive Committee and Board’s direction. Tasks include:
- Participate in online monthly Officer and Executive Committee meetings
- Participate in Conference Planning and Presentation Evaluation
- Participate in Strategic Planning activities
- Provide feedback on materials submitted by Executive Director for review.

The Officers meet independently and then meets with the Executive Committee via conference call monthly and at other times as deemed necessary. Officers must remain an employee of a PLMA member organization for the length of their term, and are expected to participate in a majority of the monthly calls and other in-person meetings. There is no compensation or travel reimbursement from PLMA. PLMA Election Policy, By-Laws and other internal policies are posted on the Board of Directors Group Home Page at www.peakload.org/board-home-page - you must be signed in as a Board Member to access these documents.
Nomination Process. Any PLMA board member in good standing may self-nominate. If someone other than the board member from a PLMA member organization wishes to self-nominate, they must become the designed board member for their organization.
Election Process. The Officer election will be conducted electronically before the Board meeting on November 1. Candidates will be invited to record a brief statement for a Meet the Candidates webcast to be produced in September.
