SOLD OUT! Desert Bike Ride and Sustainability Tour
2:00 to 5:00 pm
We'll meet in the hotel lobby and head to a local bike shop where everyone will be fitted for a hybrid electric bike and helmet. Our local hosts and tour guides, Tom Hines of Tierra Resources and Bruce Brazis of Arizona Public Service, will guide us through a safe and enjoyable ride along local bike paths and will offer us a color commentary on Arizona landmarks and sustainability initiatives.
The Afternoon's Schedule: (still subject to small changes)
2:00 pm - Depart Sheraton Phoenix by van to Rides N Motion
2:30 pm - Arrive and get fitted for bikes and helmets; complete waiver.
3:00 pm - Let's ride! Follow Tom and Bruce and ask lots of questions!
5:00 ish - Return to Rides N Motion
At the completion of the ride, you are welcome to Lyft/Uber back to the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown or hop a ride to the nearby TopGolf where you can join the PLMA dinner buffet and golf (see below). At the end of the evening, PLMA will provide transportation from TopGolf back to the Sheraton.
The cost to participate in the Desert Bike Ride is $95 per person, which includes transportation, bike, and helmet rental. As this is a PLMA pilot program, we must, unfortunately, limit participation to 15 people this time, first-come, first serve.

Join PLMA's Executive Committee, colleagues, and friends for a fun-filled conference welcome, an opportunity to reconnect over a buffet of delicious food and drinks, plus some friendly competition with a golf club! If you're not a golfer, join us anyway and enjoy the view and the camaraderie. This inclusive event is designed to be fun for all!
The Evening's Schedule:
5:15 pm - Departure by bus from Sheraton Phoenix Downtown
6:00 pm - Arrival at TopGolf for dinner, fun, and golfing!
8:00 pm - Evening wrap-up and departure for the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown
8:45 pm - Arrive back at the hotel
The cost for this PLMA Conference networking event is $30.00 per person, which includes transportation, buffet dinner, two drink tickets, the use of TopGolf's clubs (provided on-site), plus a lifetime membership to TopGolf. Everyone is welcome!
