The Westin Detroit Metropolitan Airport
2501 Worldgateway Place
Detroit, MI 48242

Located within the McNamara Terminal of DTW Airport, The Westin Detroit Metropolitan Airport provides PLMA EV Symposium attendees with an easy travel experience, including proximity to the nearby Henry Ford Museum plus direct access from the hotel lobby to a private airport security line.

Parking, Logistics, and Transportation Upon Arrival

Upon Arrival:
PLMA strongly encourages all Symposium attendees to fly Delta Airlines and NOT check a bag,  due to the location of the hotel and the short length of the event. The arrival instructions listed below are significantly influenced by whether or not you will need to pick up a bag at baggage claim.

Arrival Instructions for those Flying In . . .

Flying In on Delta if you are NOT Checking a Bag
If you are flying in via Delta Airlines and don’t have any checked luggage to claim, you can enter into the Westin Hotel using the entrance located directly across gate A36. (This is directly located next to McDonalds). You will already be in McNamara Terminal which is where the hotel will be located.

Flying In on Delta if you ARE Checking a Bag
Please leave your gate and follow signage to the baggage claim. Once you have grabbed your bag, you will head toward the upper level using the escalator to head towards the Delta Domestic Departures area of the DTW airport. From here, you will see The Westin Hotel entrance and Valet Concierge. Turn right and proceed down the hall, and down the escalator to the main lobby floor. Turn right again from the escalator and look for the Hotel Concierge where you will check in.

Flying In on Another Airline
If you fly in on any other airline, you’ll land at the Evans Terminal
.
In this case, you will make your way to Ground Transportation and board the Terminal to Terminal shuttle. This shuttle stops directly at the front entrance to the Westin.

Arrival Instructions for those Driving In . . .

Valet Parking is available at a rate of
$28 per night. Pull up to the hotel front entrance and let the driver know you are attending the Peak Load Management Alliance meeting. Please note, parking spots are limited.

Self Parking
Self Parking is available in the self park garage across the street at a rate of $8 per exit from the garage. You will be able to purchase a validation sticker from the valet cashier at this rate.

Shuttle to Terminal
There are two main terminals within the Detroit Metropolitan Airport: The McNamara and Evans Terminal. The Westin is located within the McNamara Terminal. If you are unable to secure parking near the Westin, than you can park in the Evans Terminal and be transported over. Passengers are transported between the two terminals via shuttle (search for the ones indicating they are going to McNamara).

Checking Out and Departure

Flying Delta
Upon checkout you can head directly toward self-serve kiosks and TSA located directly within the lobby of the hotel. This will place you in the gate area of A36 where you started.

Flying Another Airline
After you are checked out of your room, you will need to leave outside of the Westin front entrance that is near the Domestic Departures area where the shuttle dropped you off. Take this shuttle back to Evans Terminal and follow the signage to your respective airlines.
